2023-05-17 Attend hearing May 25-26 on how AZ handled COVID-19

The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic was a clear-cut case of politics slamming into medicine. A lot went wrong. And it’s important to delve into that because it is likely there will be another pandemic in our lifetime.

Normally I avoid political discussions like the plague. That said, there is an event I want to put on your radar screen for Thursday, May 25 and Friday, May 26.

Republican lawmakers in the Arizona state Senate established an intergovernmental committee to examine Arizona’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Novel Coronavirus South Western Intergovernmental Committee includes members from both the state house and senate as well as members of the U.S. House of Representatives.

State Sen. Janae Shamp is the chairman (she’s a nurse), Sen. T.J. Shope is the Vice Chairman. Here is a Tweet from them talking about the committee:

Officials say the committee will explore the lack of early treatment options; evaluate federal government and Pharma protocols; discuss the safety of the vaccine; and delve into injustices committed against families, businesses, workers and industries, and potential preventative protections that could have been taken.

Arizona had one of the highest rates of COVID-19 deaths in the country.

May 25 and 26 are the first meetings, and more are planned in the future. The committee plans to present a report to the Senate President and the Speaker of the House by the end of 2024.

You know I am a big fan of Drs. Pierre Kory and Peter McCullough, and they are among the expert speakers. I will make my way to downtown Phoenix to the state senate building at 1700 W. Washington Street to get a better feel for this.
