Want to recover from Covid long haul symptoms? You’re at the right place.

Long Covid

It can be turned around, you can recover!

Some 30 to 80 percent of people who come down with COVID have gone on to have “long COVID.” It just doesn’t seem to clear up and you can feel lousy for months afterwards – even a year or more.

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines it as a condition that “occurs in individuals with a history of probable or confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection, usually within 3 months from the onset of COVID-19 with symptoms that last for at least 2 months and cannot be explained by an alternative diagnosis.”

With time, some scientific facts about this syndrome have emerged. The main culprits are damage from the virus, uncontrolled inflammation, low grade blood clotting, subsequent immune system response, and the fact that the spike protein may hang around for up to 15 months or longer. Ongoing inflammation and subsequent abnormal blood clotting are major players in this disease process, but that is not the whole story.

We Understand Long Haulers

We use traditional, functional, and alternative health approaches – we have a broad toolbox to help you heal. You won’t hear that “it’s all in your head” from us. Recovery may come from the use of natural therapies, nutraceuticals, healthy food choices, minerals and herbs, prescription medications, and Traditional Chinese Medicine formulas.
What we do is individualized according to your needs.

Recovery is Possible

Long COVID is not the same problem for everyone. Some have blood clotting issues, but not others. Some have autoimmune disease. Some have pulmonary fibrosis. There are issues that are true of most long COVID patients, but it’s still unique for everybody. It is possible you could have had no noticeable symptoms or mild symptoms, then go on to long COVID. Unraveling this complexity is what we do. For example, we recognize that leaky gut is common today in our culture and when combined with COVID, it has been seen to amp up inflammation and this can keep you from recovering.

In our experience, some people recover rapidly. Others, not so fast. Some people had underlying problems before COVID appeared and ended up with more damage to body parts.

Long Covid

Smarter Approaches

We see a lot of people with long COVID ping-ponged from one specialist to another – different doctors treating different symptoms, not necessarily working together as a team. Yet we know that what happens in one part of the body, say inflamed blood vessels with red blood cells sticking to each other, impacts other places in the body like the brain (brain fog), lung (shortness of breath), and muscles (pain). Inflammation is a key factor underlying COVID and many chronic illnesses.

We find it interesting that China first treated COVID with Western medicine, but didn’t see as much success as they hoped for. By the end of January 2020, the government brought in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) experts and outcomes improved. We’ve found that TCM herbal formulas work well in combination with our other approaches. We are going to look at the big picture and the details, figure out what is going on with YOU, and give you an individualized path to recovery.
